MR BURNS, A POST ELECTRIC PLAY

Act 1. Its the near future, the electrical grid is down. A group of strangers sit around a fire and retell an episode from The Simpsons.

Act 2. Jump 7 years into the future, there is still no electricity. The group of storytellers are now a travelling troupe trying to retell the same episod

Act 3. 75 years after that. Its the future. Candlelight fills the room. We are surrounded by a sea of black plastic, in the middle a gold structure sits. Its a boat. The story is now almost biblical, what we once new as The Simpsons is now a dramatic story told in song that warns us of the dangers of the past.
